Making Creativity Count

  • A Seven Week Journey Into Creativity As Spiritual Practice.

Inspired by the Jewish tradition of counting the Omer, this program invites you into a gentle rhythm of creativity, reflection, and spiritual exploration. The Omer is a 7-week period traditionally devoted to growth, awareness, and inner transformation.

You don’t need to be Jewish to participate. In the same way that people of many backgrounds practice yoga or find meaning in seasonal rituals like Christmas lights, this journey draws on the Omer as a sacred container for reflection and creative practice.

Over seven weeks, we’ll explore how creativity can become a doorway into presence, insight, and connection with something deeper.

You don’t need to consider yourself an artist.
You only need curiosity--and a willingness to begin.
What Makes This Program Different

This is not an art class, and it’s not about learning techniques or producing polished work.
This program explores creativity as a spiritual practice--a way of slowing down, listening inward, and making meaning from our lives.

Many of us move through our days feeling overstimulated, burnt out, or disconnected. We consume information constantly, but rarely create space to reflect or express what is happening within us.

Creativity has always been one of the ways humans process experience, restore perspective, and reconnect with something deeper. This program offers a simple structure to return to that.

Inspired by the Omer’s 7-week journey of daily reflection, we’ll explore themes of love, boundaries, beauty, endurance, humility, connection, and manifestation through creative practice.

The rhythm is simple and supportive: a daily mindfulness drawing creative ritual (about 5 minutes), paired with a weekly creative practice date with yourself (about an hour, or whatever feels right).

Research shows that small daily practices can meaningfully shift how we feel, think, and relate to our lives. Over seven weeks, these creative moments begin to build into something deeper: awareness, insight, and connection.

You don’t need to be an artist, and you don’t need to follow a particular spiritual tradition.
You only need curiosity--and a willingness to begin.
How the Program Works

The journey unfolds over the seven weeks of the Omer, beginning on Thursday, April 2rd, when you’ll receive your first email in the evening.

Each week, you’ll receive:
• a short teaching introducing the weekly theme
• a creative invitation for the week
• a digital creativity counter designed by Bekah to support your daily mindfulness drawing practice

The daily practice is guided by the counter, offering a simple way to engage creatively each day, while the weekly invitation gives you space to go deeper.
