MakerSpace! with Bekah Starr Art

Step into a space of creative rest and exploration!

The Bekah Starr Art Makerspace is a pop-up studio designed for retreats, conferences, or anywhere your group is gathering.  This is a space to unwind, recharge, and engage in creativity on our own terms—not a scheduled class, but a drop-in experience where people can explore at their own pace. Take a refreshing break from deep learning and intensity and come for a creative rest!

We offer a blend of structured projects (with clear instructions) and open-ended art supplies for free-flow creativity. Whether you prefer guided activities or intuitive play, there’s something for everyone. Projects can be themed to fit your retreat’s focus, cater to any budget, and range from low-mess options to immersive, hands-on experiences.

We specialize in creating a mindful and restorative space, including special Shabbat-friendly options, where people can engage in creativity in a peaceful, low-pressure environment.

Available for any conference or retreat size and budget, this makerspace brings an atmosphere of calm and creativity to your event. Whether you’re hosting a small, intimate gathering or a large, multi-day retreat, we’ll tailor the experience to fit your needs.

✨ Take a breath and reconnect with your creative self. Let’s create something meaningful together! ✨

Why Creative Rest?

Creative rest is essential for renewing energy. Unlike general rest, which focuses on physical recovery, creative rest specifically replenishes the mental and emotional fatigue from constant production and thinking. It allows you to step away from the pressures of producing and engage in activities that use a different part of the brain. This type of rest helps prevent burnout, fosters new ideas, and clears mental clutter, so you return to your work with fresh eyes, renewed inspiration, and a deeper connection to yourself.
