Bio:
Bekah Starr is a Sacred Artist, ritualist, and educator exploring connections between Hebrew mysticism and the Divine Feminine. She is the co-creator and curator of Cycles, an annual art show exploring the complexities of menstruation, and the creator of Hamsas for the Divine Feminine. Her artwork, workshops, and writing have been featured around the world and in publications including Times of Israel, Feminist & Religion, and On The Rag zine & “Lady Parts.” Bekah is also a children’s book author and storyteller, bringing Jewish holidays to life in new ways for the next generation.
Bekah’s journey into spiritual knowing and ancestral magic began as a young girl with her mom and Grammy as her guides, and she is deeply grateful to have continued this remembering with the Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute and Devotaj Sacred Arts Academy.
As a seeker, I offer respect to all my teachers everywhere.
Bekah received a dual degree in Recreation Administration and Nonprofit Management from Kean University. Bekah is a third-generation American Ashkenazi Jew, raised near the Jersey shore. She lives with her amazingly supportive husband, Michael, and their two inspiring children, Zeah & Aria, on the lands of the Wappinger First Nation people, also known as the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York.
